Sherry obtained her Bachelor of Science degree (Psychology specialization with Industrial Internship Program) awarded with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2005. In 2012, Sherry earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta.

During law school, Sherry and her teammate were the national winners of the 2012 Canadian Client Consultation Competition held in Ottawa. Her team advanced to the 2012 Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition held in Dublin, Ireland and ranked in the top five out of twenty-two international teams.

Sherry articled at a general practice law firm in downtown Edmonton. After her bar call, she continued as an associate for a short time before accepting a position at the University of Alberta’s Research Services Office where she drafted and negotiated funding agreements on behalf of University researchers. Sherry joined Ackroyd Law in January of 2016 and is currently building her practice with a focus on wills and estates, guardianship and trusteeship applications, aboriginal law, corporate/commercial, and real estate.
