Emily Bonnell joined Ackroyd LLP in the summer of 2019 as an articling student. Emily grew up in Alberta, living in High Level, Brooks, Slave Lake and finally Edmonton.
Prior to law school, Emily worked in Edmonton’s non-profit sector while completing her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Emily attended law school at the University of Ottawa where she developed an interest in Aboriginal law, administrative law and civil litigation. During her time in law school Emily worked for Level, a non-profit organization that uses the law to advance justice and human rights.
In her free time, Emily enjoys yoga, playing ukulele, spending time with friends and family and taking advantage of Edmonton’s arts and festivals.
