Celeste T. Kwok

Celeste joined Ackroyd LLP as an Articling Student in 2024.  Celeste practices primarily in the areas of Civil Litigation, Criminal Defence, Aboriginal Law, Employment Law and Human Rights, Real Estate, and Wills & Estates.

Prior to her articles, Celeste worked with the Youth Restorative Action Project, advocating for youth involved in the criminal justice system. Her experience empowering marginalized communities facing homelessness, substance abuse, racism, and other barriers inspired her to pursue a career in law.

One of Celeste’s highlights in law school was visiting Australia on exchange. While abroad, she co-authored a report with the South Australian Law Reform Institute on the effects of suppression orders on Indigenous youth. Celeste also competed at the national 2024 Client Consultation Competition featuring complex issues in international humanitarian law.  Throughout law school, she served as the first Vice-President Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion on the Law Students’ Association and volunteered with the Human Rights Project at Student Legal Services.

In her free time, Celeste enjoys café-hopping, crafting, and volunteering.  She leads an active lifestyle and has competed in various pickleball leagues.
