Anya Manukyan

Anya Manukyan (she/her) joined Ackroyd LLP as an Associate in 2023. Her work at the firm focuses on environmental law, regulatory and administrative law, and criminal law.

Anya has completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology at the University of Alberta and worked in youth restorative justice before completing her Juris Doctor degree. During law school, Anya took environmental and criminal law courses and was Vice President of the Environmental Law Students Association. She also mooted competitively. She Articled at Ecojustice Canada and did legal work involving federalism, administrative law including judicial review of environmental assessment decisions, environmental torts, international environmental law, and other environmental regulation.

Outside of the office Anya hikes, climbs, and snowboards, taking advantage of Alberta’s beautiful natural areas. Anya also enjoys volunteering, books, and a strong cup of tea.
